Marital status change

My husband and i got separated last year in August. He moved to Winnipeg and lost touch. I know there is a form that needed to be filled out for marital status change for taxation but both parties has to sign it. Can i still file my tax as " separated" this year? Thank you all.

You should complete the form (without his signature), and include a letter noting that you cannot contact him. You should also file your taxes as separated this year.

You should file its separately and let the officials know about the facts as they are.
