I'm planning to apply for PR under CEC stream on January 2015. I worked as a medical admin assistant from January 28, 2014 - May 17,2014. Then got hired as a registered practical nurse from June 2, 2014 - present. I worked full-time for both those jobs so I plan to use both in my application. My dilemma is that the manager I worked for in my first job is no longer the manager there, in fact she has been hired to work as a manager in my work place now (Physician's office). I am wondering, can I still ask her to write an official letter to CIC that I indeed worked at my first job before. Then maybe I could just get one of our physicians at my new workplace to write an official letter that I am currently working there? Or should I ask that letter from the new manager at my old workplace? Also, is 3 months and a few weeks enough time for me to include my first job in my application? Sorry if it's confusing but I would really appreciate your help. Thank you

The letter must be written by your former employer , it doesn't matter that your former manager is not longer there, they must have records of your employment as position, job description, term of employment and wages.
We still don't know the requirements to qualify under CEC + EE , but considering the current CEC requirements , You are not elegible to apply in January as you started working on Jan 28 and you were unemployed from May 17 to June 2nd.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, that's true. I may have to apply end of February or early March. So do you mean I can ask my previous manager to write the letter for me? Even though she no longer works there? I'll just attach supporting documents such as payslips and my copy of my contract.
I do hope the express entry change won't make it harder to obtain permanent residency. Fingers still crossed.
