Malaysian Police Certificate - Processing Time Exceeds CIC Deadline

I received the email from CIC yesterday to submit the Malaysian Police Certificate within 30 days. I have applied for the Police Certificate but was informed that the processing time is 1-2 months. Anyone encountered this situation before? How did you go about requesting a deadline extension? Thanks for your help!

Go ahead and apply for the PC. It will not take that long providing you do not have any record. I applied for mine and it was approved within 3days. Good luck

Thanks for the info, Mikejade! Hopefully, like you, I'll get the PC in a matter of days instead of months. Regardless, just to be prepared for the worst case scenario, I have emailed CIC requesting a deadline extension beyond 2 months.
