So the embassy has asked for the passports. But the process seems confusing. This is what they said:
Send in your passports by mail, return by commercial mail of your choice:
- Include a duly completed prepaid packing slip and a valid account number.
Any invalid or incomplete slip will be returned.
That seems kinds confusing. How do i get a duly completed packing slip. And what account number are they talking about?
I think what they mean is that you have to make sure you send them a "pre-paid" envelope so they can send you the passports back.
If you go to a courier like FedEx/UPS they will know what to recommend.
Another option is you can open an account with for example FedEx and attach your credit card to the file, then if you send the Embassy an Air Bill for International shipping signed by you, with your address and account #, they'll be able to use it to send you the passports. our credit card will be charged later. If you so this 2nd option, make sure you keep a copy of that Air Bill, it has the tracking #.

You are so lucky.... Paris seem to move so fast the files....
When you send your passport you can ask to the guys in the post offices for assistance,
but it only means that you need to make sure that you send proper return envelope,
prepaid... so the only thing for them to do is to put your passport in the envelope and
send it through the proper courier of your choice
