I made 2 mistakes during the PGWP application.
1. "Do you have a written job offer letter?"- I said Yes, but I am applying for open work permit.
2. I am working in a childcare sector. So I said that I am fit for certain Category of job. But, in the next question " Are you interested to do the medical under Ircc regulated Doctor, if required) - I said No
I applied my pgwp application on December 21, 2024.
How can I correct those mistakes?
Hi,
I made same mistake and said 'No' to the question on medicals instead of 'Yes', and i just submitted my application today Jan 13. Please how do i correct this?
I made the same mistake when applying PGWP and I received my PGWP 2 months ago.
I found you may be eligible to work even if you apply OWP instead of PGWP after your graduation as long as you meet all the criteria.
As per paragraph 186(w) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR), graduates who apply for a work permit in any category before the expiry of their study permit are eligible to work full time without a work permit while waiting for a decision on their work permit application if all of the following apply:
They were the holder of a valid study permit at the time of the work permit application.
They have completed their program of study.
They met the requirements for working off campus without a work permit under paragraph R186(v). They
were a full-time student enrolled at a designated learning institution (DLI)
were in a post-secondary academic, vocational or professional training program of at least 8 months in duration
received a degree, diploma or certificate
They did not exceed the allowable hours of work under paragraph R186(v) (20 hours per week).
Applicants remain eligible to work full time without a work permit while waiting for a decision on their application even after leaving and re-entering Canada.
Hell guys i am in a terrible situation I did 1+1 courses in Canada ... I applies for pgwp in May I later realized I forget to upload completion letter for the first college . I called ircc and they asked me to raise a web form which I did . Now today I realized another mistake . I selected owp instead of pgwp. Has anyone been in such a situation ?
hey im in the same situation, I applied for my pgwp in october and forgot to add completion letter of my second course and i got my work permit today for only 1 year

Yesterday, I submitted my Post Graduation Work Permit form, and by mistake I put wrong Start/expire date in Education section. I filled study permit dates over there. What should i do ?
