Lower IELTS Retest Score & Impact

Dear Members ,

I have applied for FSW based on my current IELTS score . I am planning to take an IELTS retest to get a better score ,
Would like to know what would happen if the score turns out to be lower .
Will CIC retrieve the score from IELTS at appropriate time , if so what score would be considered the latest or the best score.
Appreciate a response as my test happens to be next week

You don't have to upload the new scores if it is lower than your previous score. You can use any, so long as they are both still valid.
