I’m a Greek student in Montreal, and my Greek passport recently expired. It took eight months to renew and receive it from the Greek embassy here. During that time, my student permit 90 days renewal has expired, but I couldn’t leave the country because I didn’t have a valid passport. Now that I’ve received my new passport, I’m unsure what to do next. I still have five courses left to graduate, but I no longer have a study permit. Can I apply for a new study permit and CAQ (Certificat d’acceptation du Québec) from Montreal, or do I need to leave Canada to apply? Please help—this is a serious issue for me.
