Losing my job (PR in process)

Hi,

Things at my company are quite slow and it is a possibility that I might lose my job, meaning that to get a new job I would need to apply for a new LMO and a new work permit (currently with a work permit limited to the company I'm working for now). Since I would have to wait for months without an income could I apply no problem for Employments Insurance without making immigration canada angry?

I've also been working for almost 2 years not missing a single day.

Good to know that you worked for 2 years without missing a single day. When you worked, you conributed towards your EI, if you loose your job you have every right to take EI and CIC have to do nothing with it. When the staff of CIC looses job they also take EI.
