I have just submitted my sponsorship application last Monday. But one thing keeps bothering me, what if by the time the immigration call to confirm my employment, I already lost my job, will my elligibility as a sponsor get denied? Will they wait for me to find a new job and approve my application?
I have met the min. financial requirement so I am elligible to sponsor my mother. It's just that my job might end soon as it is on a contractual basis. I've been working for the company for a year now.

Usually how do they confirm my LICO? I mean would they still call my employer or they would just based on the pay stubs and T4 slips I submitted? And how long does it take before they approve my application to sponsorship?
For the in-canada processing it says will take about 27 months , so does that mean it will take that long before they send out the sponsorship overseas?

Yes, it will be 27 months before they send the sponsorship overseas. Before they send it, they will probably require you to submit proof of income to see if you still meet the low income cut off figure (LICO)
So that means they will check my elligibility to sponsor twice, once upon submission of application to sponsor and the second time is before they send out the application overseas, right?
What if after submitting the application, I lost my job and needed to apply for EI, but was able to find a job later and met the LICO again. Would they take this (previously dependent on EI matter) as a factor for denying my elligibility to sponsor?

At least now I don't have to worry if ever I needed to apply for EI, but I still hope to find a stabled job that will last until the time the application is ready to be send overseas.
