There are no jobs or employers on this forum. You will need to apply for jobs through sites like indeed and linkedin.

You also need a LMIA to apply for a closed work permit. The employer has to pay $1k and then prove no Canadian or PR can do the job, only you have the experience. Would get your education assessed (ECA) to show Canadian equivalency to the job.

Coming to Canada and applying for a WP will not only take a lot of time so you may be unemployed for months and the work permit is not guaranteed. It would be much better to apply from your current location if you are able to find employment. There is also no guarantee you’ll be able to enter Canada or remain while waiting for a WP. As a visitor you are expected to visit not be seeking employment.

As a software engineer, I currently do earn more than an average Canadian and I work remotely. So my idea was to visit Canada and still work remotely for my current company while looking for Canadian opportunities as my end goal is to settle in Canada. Also as per my understanding, I'm allowed to look for opportunities while being on a visitor visa but not work.

ROFL, if you were earning more than a Canadian and willing to go down this route, you can take a $1k pay cut, ask them to do LMIA instead of wasting your time through Vistor Visa - if you were that good, no way your employer would refuse that. "As per your understanding", your intentions are not to leave Canada which itself is a condition for TRVs. You are expected to land and go back. :D
