I am from The Gambia, accepted into Sept 2019 intake
I have submitted my visa application and did bio metrics on 2nd April
paper application through VAC in Senegal
my processing time its 4 weeks but its almost 7 weeks still no news
does that mean my application will be rejected since it has passed normal processing time.
If you are tracking it via the VFS tracking number (starts with something like 20190423...) then you will not get a status update. If you applied online, you can use the GCKey to get an actual status update from IRCC. If you have the visa application number - which is not the VFS tracking number - and don't have a GCKey account yet, you can create one and try to link it to your application.

i just link my application, says its still under processing
am just worried it has pass the normal processing time
processing time for Gambia is 4 weeks
Agree 4 weeks is just a target. You should find comfort in the fact that you were not automatically refused like your friend. Due to the large volume of asylum claimants from West Africa, applications will be scrutinized more.
Got the same issue,
Applied on the 1st from Cameroon
And till now nothing
A friend of mine applied after me and ahe has already been sent for medicals.
I sent a mail to the embassy in dakar and got a reply from them saying
