london passport collection delays

Has anyone experienced passport collection delay ... our passports are still not ready for collection at London CHC. today was the 2nd thursday after submition of the pasports, they say that we do not have your passports ready yet and cant reach the case officer at this time we will inform you by e mail or phone when we get them ready for collection and as it is our mistake we will courier them if u request so .. does any one has any information about this?

I think only we had this experience for the first time but i got my answer from the case officer directly and quickly in the morning today she appologized for our passports not bieng ready yesterday and she said that she will courier them and we will get them the next day probably saturday otherwise on Monday for sure

i really appreciate her to take time and inform us so quickly about the issue and "complementry" courier dilivery

i hope this will help anyone in same circumstances now or in future...

I do not know why such a long delay for you. Our passports were requested on letter dated 14th Feb and they were sent by registered post on 20th and received on 21st Feb and we got our passports back on 7th March with visa stamped from 1st March. DM showing on ECAS from 5th March.
Give it a week or so as they did say it takes anything between 4-6wks although most get their passports before this time as we did.

thanks for your input we recieved a call from our case officer on friday and she asked us if we want to courier the passports .. we agreed and got our passports with visa stamp (start date 29th Feb) on saturday .. thank God
