when will an age be locked in for permanent resident? on the step 1 of family class sponsorship where they assess the sponsor or on step 2 the assessment of person being sponsored (applicant)? thanks!

i'm sorry I got confused. When exactly does CPC-M received it? Is my age locked from the very start on step 1 when my sister applied to sponsor us in Canada?

Hi angel ,

There is no need for confusion any more. The D.O.B has already locked when the sponsorship application from your sister reached the Case Processing Center Mississauga. This is an autommatic procedure. Your sister will not get any information about it from CPC.
The locking procedure is necessary to overcome the age over problem happens due to processing time taken in CIC. Hope you are clear now.

Hi angel, You mentioned that your sister in Canada sponsored you. There is no problem was working. The sponsor ship approval and PR processing will take lot of time. So, no one says you to simply sit at home without work!!

Hi chasley,

The age will be locked when your sponsorship application is received at the CPC from your sponsor. Not at that time when the PR application received by the visa office. Hope you are clear now.
