I am US Physican , I am applying for work Permit. I got an offer. I want to apply to work visa. I have my contract signed. I was looking for work visa requirements, they need contract and LMIA. I am applying to Ontario college, however it seems it will take time. Do I need college registration to get my LMIA

YOU don't get your LMIA, as your potential employer is completely responsible for this, including the fees.

Could my potential employer complete LMIA without college registration? So I can apply to work visa .

The employer completes the LMIA to ensure no Canadian Citizen or PR can do the job PRIOR it being offered to a foreign national, which would be you, the applicant. If they get a positive LMIA from ESDC, that means it has been approved, you then take that with you to get a work permit. Note, LMIA can take 3-4 months for processing, and is not guaranteed for approval

Note; ESDC gives the approval or not for the LMIA, the employer, does not , they just completes the application

Unless you are family physician , psychiatrist or pathologist your potential employer may struggle to get an LMIA because many new Canadian physicians struggle to find a job in Canada.

Was the hospital or doctor’s office aware that you are currently not able to work in Canada and they would need to apply for an LMIA and you’d need a work permit?
