without LMIA, a job offer does not mean anything for immigration EE purpose. But the work experiences are an asset - you will gain points out of your foreign/Cdn work experiences - but won't give you anything near 600 points as a LMIA would.
How do I get LMIA if I am already working on a permanent position for a year now? When I search the LMIA process I come across the LMIA process for TFWP. Will CIC introduce another LMIA process in January for EE Candidates? Please share your ideas. Thanks!

You will need to ask your employer to do LMIA. It is unclear whether LMIA for EE will be different for TFWP, but I would assume requirements are the same except it will be processed much quicker (10 days) and for free.

I am in the similar situation. Yes even if you are working, your employer has to prove that they tried to hire a canadian by posting ad and stuff. Gotta follow regular LMIA process

Big corps definitely won't. My HR team has asked me to exhaust all other options before requesting LMIA. Also because there's a good chance LMIA might not be approved.

I spoke directly with HR. Part of my strategy is that if I don't ITA before June 2014 then I'll ask them to apply for LMIA. Was your firm pretty lax about it?
