Hi,

My employer got an LMIA (GTS) - TEER 1 for me as a software programmer about a year ago. Now, I'm working for the company for less than a year (I have a work permit) and they want to promote me to become a manager. My question is, can they get an LMIA (GTS) - TEER 0 (for managers) for me? Is this possible while I'm working for them in Canada? I use to be a product manager before (I have the experince) and I am a PMP certified.

Thank you for your help in advance

Employer needs to change conditions of current LMIA, not apply for new one.

Thank you for you reply. The LMIA is expired, should they still change it or apply for the new one?
Ask employer to contact EDSC and confirm. A new one may be needed which means the job must be posted externally to meet LMIA requirements.
