LMIA extension

I have a question regarding my LMIA. I currently hold an LMIA that granted me 50 points and a work visa for three years. This LMIA is set to expire in 8 months. I would like some clarification on the following points:

1. LMIA Extension
   • Is it possible to extend my existing LMIA for another three years?
     a) If yes, how many times can this process be repeated?
     b) If no, what is the procedure for extending it?
2. Modifications During LMIA Extension
   • During the extension process, is it possible to make modifications to the LMIA, such as allowing me to work from a different province? Are such modifications permitted?

I would greatly appreciate any insights or guidance on this matter.

You must reapply for a new LMIA. You don’t need a valid LMIA for the duration of your WP. You can request a modification of your WP with support from your employer. Up to IRCC if it will be granted.
