Hi,
My spouse is working in Canada on a work permit (skilled class A). I am on dependent visa now.
Is it possible to get LMIA exemption for me if I manage to get a job here? As per below link, it is mentioned that dependents of foreign worker holding work permit for a skilled worker do not require a LMIA.
Link is https://www.canadavisa.com/labour-market-impact-assessment-exemptions-lmia.html
Excerpt from the link is below
"Spouses and children of Foreign Workers holding a Canadian work permit for a skilled position do not require a LMIA. Please note that this does not apply to the spouses of workers on an International Exchange Program."
Can someone please confirm on this? And if it is LMIA exempt, how long does it take to get a WP?
regards
