Hello,
I have received a job offer from Canada. My employer is looking to see if they can do LMIA. Can someone please suggest what is the eligibility criteria for the employee for LMIA?
I want to make sure I meet all the requirements. Do I need to have a certain number of years of experience or do I need to have a certain score in IELTS ?
Please help.
Thank you,
JW
Thank you for your response. Do we need to have recent experience or old experience will also be considered ? I have not worked from last 4.5 years, but before that I had 6 years of experience in the same field.

Depends on how it is assessed. Employer has to prove why they could hire no one else with current experience. Are you in a licensed profession?

No but I am working on getting license for BC teacher.

So your employer needs to fill out the paperwork and show they couldn’t hire anyone in BC.
