LMIA was approved today after 9 months of waiting.
My worry is that my LMIA has a one year duration. I'm currently on study visa and have put in for my study extension already for a second program
Should I just stick to study, do 1+1 and get my 3years PGWP or take the LMIA? What happens next after the one year duration of my LMIA? LMIA is a teer 3 job role and in BC.
I don't want to waste opportunities, time and money.
My spouse is currently on SOWP and my kids on VVs (recall I still have my study visa and this won't expire until June 2025). .

Your decision. Just remember with changes to PGWP that it now states your PGWP is the length of the two programs (read it on the site). So don’t expect 3 years. When do you start second program?

We don’t know. The goal is to get rid of fraud and make PR process more equitable and bring CRS scores down. IRCC may reevaluate LMIAs for current applicants to try to determine if fraud was involved. For a long time IRCC decided to turn a blind eye to some very questionable LMIAs and timing of these LMIAs.
