My husband got accepted for medical residency in Buffalo, NY and we are planning to move in the summer. I am a Canadian physiotherapist and plan to live in Buffalo but commute across the border to Canada to work. (To work in the states I would need my schooling reviewed, pass a licensing test, and apply to get a license which can take up to a year).
Is it possible for me to do this? Will there be problems at the border if I try to cross 5 days/week? What type of US visa would I need to be allowed to do this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As someone in the US, i can think of a certain way this can be done. You can come as a dependent on your Husbands F1 or H1 visa ( Which ever is needed for the residency) and commute back and forth to canada. The visa is a multiple entry visa with no restrictions on how many times you leave or enter the US.
