Supposing I am going to file my application on december 2022, and as I need to provide proof of my employment status (to apply for canadian citizenship), how far back do I need to provide information? the earliest job that I have listed started on april 2017. Do I need to list the one I had before that?
You don't need to provide any proof for your employment history, jus to list it...
And you only need to cover the 5 years eligibility period, so no need to list the job you hav before December 2017.

If you have travel history during your eligibility period, I would recommend experience certificate or letter of employment from your employer(s). It became important for me as I was not a regular employee but a self employed contractor, so payments came into my business account and not salary transfers with a payslip.
