My in-laws applied under family sponsorship program. There is only one application/UCI number for both parents. I have linked their application in MyCIC, but can see only my father-in-law's name (he passed medical) but there is no information about my mother-in-law. Do I need to create a separate link in MyCIC to see her status?

My guess is, yes, you will need to link your mother in law's application separately than your father in laws. there should be 1 application number and 2 UCI numbers. i don't think it's possible for 2 people to share a UCI since it is called a Unique Client Identifier. Even though they are on the same application, they are separate people and i would assume that means they need to have separate identity numbers for CIC.. I recommend reviewing the documents received from CIC about the application, and double check what number you are referring to. They will have the same file number. If the letter is ONLY addressed to your father in law, then that is HIS UCI. your mother in law may be able to call CIC to get hers.

CDNPR2014: Thank you so much!!! The request for medical exam clearly states two different UCI numbers. Missed seeing the small differences in the last two digits! Now I have to remember how I linked my FIL's application in the first place
