Hi,

I was sent by my current employer for 2 years to Canada. For that duration I was technically employee of Canadian branch, on payroll there (with SIN number, Income tax etc). Now, will I need 3 different letters of reference:
1. Company, India - before transferring to Canada
2. Company, Canada - for 2 years in Canada
3. Company, India - after coming back from India

Thanks

#1and #3 can be on an indian letter head and in a single letter. However #2 should be on canadian branch letter head.

You will need two (provided you returned back to the same company in India) - One for India and another for Canada (both with the duration mentioned).

I am in the similar situation. Do we need two letters one for each location?. I worked for 7 years in India then have worked for 3 years in canada. My company gave me one reference letter mentioned my date of join and transfer date to Canada. Should n't it be enough? Need some advice
