Let's Make A List Who Applied At Chandigarh VFC Under OWP Since March ...

Hi, Friend I applied for open work permit at VFS Chandigarh on April 4th 2013 but still haven't heard back anything yet..


Pls share your experience who so ever have applied under OWP since Marh at VFS Chandigarh.. Pls let me now if anyone have recieved their visa or NOt ?

Bro i am in...

I have applied on 21 june from VFS chandigarh.

As of now i am not expecting anything from them because i gone through with this forum and i checked there are so many cases are pending since march.

i am very much behind in this queue...

Just waiting when this f***ng strike going to be over..then might be we will get our visa's.

i don't know about anyone but seriously this strike is killing me day by day...

It's been six days nothing new happening in this strike ..Country like Canada is not able to deal with it.

Hope something will happen in this week other wise it will stretch like gum till sep'13.

and they are issuing only student and Visitor visa..no work permit.

i haven't seen anyone in this forum who got his open work permit after march.

spouse OWP application submitted at VFS chandigarh on 23/04/13.
received text on 25/04/13. status as of 22/08/13 "under process".

did anyone received any response lately from Chandigarh embassy ?

any updates regarding strike ? I had read before on some thread that on Aug 22 there was suppose to be a meeting regarding strike action...

I feel that they won't work on our applications until strike is not finish So, I think we have to wait.

They are not working on any work permit application ..

May be today decision will come from PSRLB.

Pray to God ...

Perhaps something we listen positive today.

one person who applied for s-owp on 8th april, visa approved waiting on passport... another person applied on 15th april got medical request . i applied on 26th april still no response hoping for best

hey guys my spouse had got the medical request in email on 30th, and on 31st morning she got post mail from VFS containing passport, medical form 2nd page and a letter by canadian high commission stating :-

"........please provide proof of marriage, copy of original certificate, photographs of marriage and post-marriage and correspondence.

Please submit the above requested documents by the same means that you submitted your application, i.e. through VFS if you submitted your application through VFS or by courier or mail if you submitted your application by courier or mail. If you submitted your application in person, you may submit the above requested documents in person or by courier or mail

if the documents requested relate to your host/inviter in canada, he/she may send them (if they prefer to do so) directly to our office.he/she should clearly indicate your file number to avoid delays. ......."

my queries are:-

1, what is proof of marriage besides original marriage certificate ? are they talking about Video CDs here ?
2, why they asking for copy of original certificate when we already have submitted it with the application ?
3, does correspondence mean all the emails, Facebook chats and incoming outgoing call history on both sides ? if yes then do we have to print them out our personal emails & chit chats ?
4, and as they say that "if the documents relate to host (me) i can send them directly to there office" obviously they are related to me so can i send all of that here in canada ? if yes then which office location ?

inputs will be highly appreciated.

You must take senior's advice..I let you know Just for your information.. Marriage certificate, Marriage photos and emails record.. I think we have to submit these documents to make our file strong..

I recommend that pls take senior's advice or Your agent If so.

Thanks bro, my agent is out of town for long weekend... waiting for him to get back, but he can mistakes too sometimes so trying to clear my doubts at my end. hopefully all will be good.
