Hi, we will be going back to Philippines on July 2019 and our Philippines passports are expiring on Sept. 2019 they said that I need atleast 6 months expiry on my passport. I was planning to just renew our passport in the Philippines when we're there. Did you guys have an experience where they wont let you board your flight because of the less than 6 month rule? I am taking the AirCanada. TIA
I would ask Air Canada, if that is your chosen carrier. I would imagine if the Philippines government said it has a 6 months rule and you only have 3 months left, you may encounter some difficulty on that side. But call Air Canada.
Six month rules apply when traveling to foreign countries. If traveling to Philippines using Philippines passport you should not face any problems. Do you have any layovers in other countries? Some countries require transit visas.
Just in Canada to Philippines, Calgary to Vancouver then Philippines. Thanks for your reply, Philippine consulate website says that I can go to Philippines with less than 6 months expiry date on my passport but need to ask airlines which is Ai
