My father has a best freind, who is currently living in canada as a permanent candian resident.
In my application as federal skilled worker under category 1, can i declare him as my uncle living in canda as permanent resident? As this will give me 5 adaptability marks.
Your application will be refused if CIC find out you are misrepresenting.
Your father's friend is 'NEVER' your uncle.
Please and please, don't try it. Always be truthful with immigration officers, no matter what.
You can always increase your points somewhere else if you are unable to gain points for adaptability.
Best of luck
Immigration does not consider this man to be your uncle unless he is the brother of your father or the brother of your mother. When claiming points for a relative, you will also have to prove that you are related which you will not be able to do with this man.
