Hi, Could you please help? Five years ago I sponsored my mother along with my sister (who was a dependent 21 yo, studying in University at that time). Two years ago they both landed in Canada and got their permanent status. I know for my mom length of undertaking is 10 years from her landing. Do you know what is length of undertaking for my sister' financial and shelter need etc? She is 27 now. Thanks
As scylla mentioned. You got another 8 years of obligation to look after your sister. It doesn't matter if your mother and / or sister gotten Canadian citizenship. Your financial obligation is still there.
Thank you all for replies. We live together so far so good. My sister lives with my mom in the walk in basement of my house in Vaughan, unfortunately no full time job so far. During summer my sister mentioned that it would be great if she could rent apartment in downtown Toronto. I understand she is young and want to have fun in life, I am 42, two kids, different problems. So I am wondering is there any guidance for shelter, monthly amounts which I should give her or we should decide it by ourselves?

There is no monthly amount to give to your sister or mother. That is something you can discuss among yourselves. As long as neither your sister and mother doesn't collect social assistance / welfare, you are good to go. Once they start collecting welfare, you will be on the hook for it and have to pay it back to government.
