My friend is a PR in Canada who has just changed her legal name. She is due to apply for a citizenship now.
Can anyone advise please: should she update her PR card first and then apply for a citizenship, or just attach her name change certificate to the citizenship application?

I changed my legal name before applying for citizenship. I put my old name from PR card in section 4 on the first page of my citizenship application. In section 5 on page 1 they ask you if you changed your name. I put my new name there. I attached a copy of my legal name change certificate to my application. Everything went well. I already got my test invite.
