Hello, I am an American citizen who is currently living in the Vancouver area on a study permit. A change needed to be made to my study permit so I recently mailed it in to Ontario to be fixed. I will not be receiving my new permit from them for a couple weeks (estimated processing time) and I was hoping to visit my family in the States sometime soon. I am however worried about leaving the country as I temporarily don't have my study permit slip. Can I easily leave the country and come back still? What info must I tell the border agent upon me return to Canada if I temporarily don't have my permit? Just don't want to run into any hassles, any info would be great. Thanks!
