At the moment it appears that I will not be able to stay in Canada for 45 days until I receive my PR card personally. I read the FAQ topic:"I need to leave Canada and I do not have a permanent resident card. Can I later return to Canada without a PR card?" (Sorry I am not allowed to post links) that I will not be able to ENTER Canada again by Air, but possible by car, after becoming PR (upon completing landing procedures). I just want to confirm if I can FLY out of Canada after the landing procedures (hand in COPR/PR card application, etc) but before I receive PR card.
For example,
1. Fly into Vancouver on 7/10, complete all landing procedures
2. Stay at Vancouver for a few days
3. Fly out of Canada and into USA on 7/13.
4. PR Card issued on end of August

if you have someone in canada you trust, who can collect the PR card on your behalf and mail it to you once they get it... thats the best option according to me...

Hi, thanks for the reply. I do have someone that I trust to receive my card. My issue is that will I be able to fly out of Canada after completing the landing procedures?
