He extended his work permit application and listed me as his common law spouse. we broke up a month before his permit was approved but he didn’t send ircc a web form to let them know.
he applied for a visitor visa a few days after his work permit was approved and listed himself as separated along with the separation date.
We broke up in April, permit approved in May and he applied for the visitor visa in
the second week of May.
we are common law again and I just applied to sponsor him but I’m scared not informing ircc of the change in status for his work permit will be an issue.
I called an immigration attorney to discuss and she said there’s a very low risk of getting a procedural fairness letter and it would be best to not write a letter in advance and bring attention to it.
