Lawyer neccesary for appeal ?

Hi did anyone do appeal without the help of lawyer and if so want kind of information should i look for to present my case of my husbands PR Visa denial? Dis anyone hire a immigration consultant instead of a lawyer? I was told by a lawyer his cost is 6000. dollars with 1000. dollars upfront to start.Does this seem reasonable? Any information would be most appreciated .Thanks .

Hi there,

I lost my appeal with a Bay Street expensive renowned lawyer who didn't even try for ADR, put up my case very casually and after IAD dismissal, even proposed filing with Federal Court. Some lawyers may be good but if you think you can justify your case all by yourself courageously by taking assistance from an experience consultant and if you are confident to speak logically before IAD member and minister's representative, the probability will be much higher to win your case.
