guys yesterday I got my ECAS "in process" & day before yesterday my lawyer called me asked me more money to prepare some documents to make my case strong
I asked him did he hear something from CIC & he said no
so I think he got my MR EMAIL and he wants more money before he provide MR information
What documents? The eligibility assessment is based on the documents you provided at the time you applied. If they need any further documents they will ask. What specific documents does he want to prepare?
I would be careful about making allegations of impropriety publicly against a lawyer, but this does sound odd. It is quite unusual to send CIC documents that they didn't ask for, once a case is already in progress. It's also strange that these documents don't require you to provide your lawyer with any additional information. Have you paid your fees in full?

Fair enough, but neither of those points is any kind of legal argument when it comes to defamation. There are proper channels to pursue complaints against lawyers.
When you signed the contract with the lawyer, there was presumably a fee schedule. If this payment request is outside of that schedule then I would recommend asking for more info on what it is your lawyer is doing.
Also, I assume he is registered to deal with CIC?
I would want to know exactly what he's sending before handing anything over.
Worst case, remove him as your rep and tell CIC. You should also report him to CIC too
It sounds to me that maybe your case is under review and CIC requested additional information.
Either way, he would have received some type of communication and you have the right to see it.
You have the right to ask your representative on what grounds he thinks at this point he wants to make your case 'strong'?
If I were you -
I will call up CIC to check my status of the application (tell them your representative is not reachable, make sure you are on the timeline where you think you might have received your medical request or additional documents). Since the medical request letter does not have a date on it except the end date to 60 days he can very well play with you for another month or so.
If he is not reliable you can always resubmit your form imm5475e to CIC with the option 'I withdraw my authorization to release information from my case file to the following individual' then you are on your own.

I think he is trying to grill out some money from you. As you mentioned, He might have got mail from CIC and trying to fool you around. Not sure, How you can handle the situation. if I am not wrong, lawyer will be Desi.
