Language requirement for paper based PNP applicants

I'm an OINP PhD graduate stream nominee with NOC A 4012 and a paper based PNP applicant. Since the PNP stream doesn’t need language requirement, I haven’t prepared for the IELTS exam. Now, after the PNP was issued, due to pandemic, I cannot have a chance to take the exam. As a result, I have submitted my application without the language proof (I’m a university lecturer hence English is not a problem at all for me). My friend told me I don’t require to submit a language score since I was classified as NOC A. However, I’m not sure exactly. I understand my situation is kind of usual and I really appreciate if anyone could let me know whether I do need to take the language exam. Thanks.

if your job is noc a. you don't need a language proof. only NOC C/D needs that.
