Hi folks,
Ideally, I'd like to land and then head back to the US to wrap up our affairs, look for jobs, etc. -- basically have a few weeks lag time before we actually move to Canada and start renting somewhere. Can we give them a friend's address to mail our cards to? Or do we have to land with a permanent address already lined up?
Thanks!

Yes, you will need to provide a friend or an acquaintance's address who will be willing to courier you the cards when received.

True. But, this needn't be a proof of permanent residence. CIC states you could also show a temporary lodging arrangement (a hotel) when you land. But I suppose it helps to have a friend or a relative's address in Canada for the PR card to be mailed to.
