Landing by road with a pet

Hi,

I am planning to enter Canada by road. We currently live in the US with our Canadian PR approved. We are ready to move and have a pet with us. Can somebody please share their experience if entered via road? How long does it take and what were the documents requested? Or what are things I should take care of. We are renting a car too.

How did your trip go. We are in the same situation and just wanted to see what kind of documentation we need to take for our dog. From what I have read, rabies vaccination proof is enough
