I have read this website http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/contact/listing/offices/office853-e.html which states that the Immigration services open at 8:00 am at Pearson airport in Toronto.
My husband's flight arrives at about 6:15 am next Thursday. Can anyone give us an estimate as to how long it will take before he will get through everything? I assume he will have to wait until the office opens at 8:00, then be processed. So are we looking at 8:30-9:00 before he will be out?
Just trying to plan getting to work and talking to my boss about this.
It shouldn't take more then 10-15minutes for the process as long as you have all required document ready. Also it depends on how many other applicant has arrived at the airport at that time, your husband is arriving @ toronto so could be possible there are few more ppl. well yea just give 45min to an hour to be on a safe side ! And congrats to you have a wonderful time with ur hubby
Great! Thanks PMM. I had a feeling I had seen those desks open when I have arrived in the past, regardless of the time, but the website for the CBSA was misleading. I appreciate the answer!
One more question about the arrival itself - once he gets off the plane and arrives in the immigration/customs area, should he go directly to those desks or offices off to one side of the room? Or should he first line up with everyone in the general lines, then they will direct him there?
A quick mention that he will be landing as a PR and he will be send to that separate area. I don't think it is the same area as immigration. When I was in Pearson while landing, there was only 1 other person waiting (middle of afternoon) and it went super quick!
