I recently got my COPR and I am super excited. I however was wondering if Landing in a different port of entry than what is stated on the COPR is a problem?
My situation - FSWO - My COPR says that the port of entry is Toronto but I'd like to land in Vancouver for my initial entry and apply for SIN and Services in Vancouver. Is it a problem to land in a different port of entry than what is already given on the COPR? Has any one done it before (landing in a different Port of entry) ? Kindly share your comments and any previous first hand experience.

As long as you can prove that you are going to settle in ON. It complicates things for the officer as first question they will ask is why are you entering here. So it would be better to land in that state or at least have your travel till that state.
Even after landing these guys ask too many times on why i am entering in different state (i was crossing border in different state other than my sponsored state after landing). So you need to be careful, especially during the landing.
Most of the time no trouble but we never know which officer we get. If we land in the same state then most of these questions go away.
Remember that officer has every right till landing hence landing is the most important step which you might be knowing. After landing if they ask any number of times you can give reason on why you are moving to the new state.
