Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi all

After some one year and a half after sending my application (with a file transfer from Buffalo to New York in the middle), i finally landed officially in Canada. Everything went well. I already live in Canada, since i am doing a PhD, so i only had to travel to the nearest border and do a U-turn on the US side. I used the Prescott-Ogdensburg border since it is the closest to Ottawa, and the funny thing was, I took longer in the US side than in the Canadian Immigration office :D :D The guys in the US border told me that since i had no I-94W with me from the last time i visited the US, the office told me i could save money if i just turn back since my goal was just to land in Canada. I would have to fill another form like the I-94W

The immigration office lady was extremely nice and didn't even see my proof of funds. She only asked me how much money i had. That's it. I asked her if the wanted to see my bank documents, and she said "naahhh... no need, i believe you". Nice, isn't it?

I thought i could apply to my SIN there, but she said i had to go to a Service Canada office to do that. I though i could do that in the border, but no problem with that. Same with health insurance.

I am very glad everything went well. I hope everything goes well with you guys too!
