Yesterday I did my landing and became a PR! Woo! However, the processing time for PR card is 77 days and I have a short (4days) business trip to USA in mid October. It means that I will not have my PR card by that time. I read that you must have PR card to be able to re-enter Canada.. I am from visa exempt country. Can anyone advice me of what are my options? No - you won't need your PR card to re-enter Canada. You'll be able to do that on your passport alone. Bring your COPR just in case. My husband re-entered multiple times on his visa exempt passport - no issues.
