We've moved recently and I have already sent a webform requesting for our new address to be updated.
If I remember correctly, someone on the forum had said that the official at the oath ceremony asks us to confirm our mailing address - is that right? Because I'm paranoid about the citizenship certificate being mailed to our previous address.
Yes, before the ceremony, you will be checked in by an agent who will confirm your address, at which time you will give your new one. You can also include your new address in the email you send right after the ceremony with your signed oath form. I have heard that it usually takes a long time for webforms to be processed, including taking some months before someone processes your address change, so they probably will have your old address on file and you will just have to give them the new one during check-in.
Just checked online and my background verification status has been updated to Completed finally after good 8 months of time.
My wife's background verification is still in progress. But after seeing my status, i am hopeful now that her's will change soon too. Her application was filed almost 2 months after myself so i hope to have a change in her application status within next 2 months.

Wow, what a great Black Friday weekend gift now! Oath invite will very likely come soon. But if it doesn't, you should email your office after a month.

I think we should send to email ID from where people usually gets oath invite, someone who got from NGF office, shared that id with me already. Is that a better approach ? Or should we send to email id from where i received the test invite ?

You should reply to the test invite email. That is your main processing office. Some files do get set to other offices for oath scheduling, but you will not know that until you receive the oath invite email or your main processing office tells you or you call the general IRCC number and an agent is able to provide that info.
As for the text of the email, you can first mention that you applied x months ago, took the test y months ago, saw everything moved to Completed in your tracker on Nov 26, and would like to know when you will be scheduled for oath. If you are able to find any reason for needing oath soon, such as upcoming business travel scheduled or family emergency, mention that, as it could help you get scheduled sooner. Be sure to include your full name, application ID, UCI number, and date of birth in your email (at least Niagara Falls requires that information).
No real update in online tracker, citizenship ceremony still showing as Not Started
Is this nornal and expected to have a ghost update before citizenship ceremony goes in process ? And when does that history gets updated at bottom of tracker page, same day when citizenship ceremony turns in process ? Anyone can share more about this...
