Congrats.
I would recomemd not to use Canada post service to send passport. Sometimes they don't update system thier system fast enough. I sent my passport on 29th jan and status still say "out for delivery". I am kind of worrying about my passport location. I wrote an email to cic, let see.
oh.....just sent my passports by Canada post, did you mail it to PO Box address or Street Address? I had used them before never had any issues; if you had used PO Box address than they might have left delivery notice in the PO Box

I sent to PO box address. Now everything is fine. I've sent email to ottawa this morning to confirm whether or not they received my passport. They replied me in less than two hours that they have already sent my passport back yesterday, and hopefully I will get it tomorrow morning. Big Relief. I will post status tomorrow.
wow....that's so fast so they just took one day to stamp the visa ....i hope it would be same for me as well;

Hi my question is for all experts who got their permanent residency or who are already applied and experiencing the difficulties in this process
My husband is on valid workpermit in Alberta (Calgary) till 2015. before he was in toronto(ontario) and worked for almost 2 yrs.
I am also in Canada with valid open work permit
Now we are planning to apply for our permanent residency but dont know which one suits us. we dont know is it better to apply under ANP programme or FSW programme and the time involved for each is different i think.
My husband designation Food service manager ( dont know whether cap will be open for this category or not in coming april)
Please experts suggest us so that we can choose better option to apply and reduce the time.
Finally, i am planning to land in next week (currently in India). Hence booked tickets and planning to complete landing at port of entry. I have collected all the documents as per info gathered from this forum. Documents are
1. Passports (Visa till 20th May)
2. COPR
3. Birth Certificates
4. Marriage Certificate
5. Educational Certificates
6. Items Declerations (Items bringing to Canada, 2 lists one items accompanying and another one items to follow for Duty exemption)
Anything else do i need? I will be staying at friend's place, so i will give the same address for PR Card. Later my friend will arrange to send it to me.
Any inputs or points to take care from those who have completed landing?
Hi, My name is Lankesh. I applied for PR in CEC category in July and My credit card was charged on Sep 8th. I have not received any communication from CIC. I have not received an AOR as well. Now i have to apply to extend my work permit. I saw the google doc and most of the July applicants have received the AOR. Even the online application status is returning nothing. How should i proceed from here. Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you.
