Hi
I have a joint bank account with my wife and my mother. Me and my wife are planning to go to Canada. The maintenance fund is in that account. Do I have provide a “no objection certificate” from my mother? Is there any template for that?
Thank you

It's better to have a joint account with your wife only and move your funds into it. Provide proof of the transaction.

Hi. Thank you for your response. Unfortunately there is no such account. Can my mother provide a NOC for that fund?

What he’s trying to tell you is to open a new joint account with your wife. Attach the transaction showing where you moved the money from the joint account with your mom to the new one with your wife only.

Ok. I will apply within a month. So if I open a new account now, I still have to show the fund with my mom’s joint account for last 5 months. Can it be done??

No but you need to show the withdrawal from the account to the new account

You can letter mummy write a notarized indicating the funds belonged to you and your wife. This can further strengthen you proof of funds. Also indicate such in LOE.

As per the IRCC rules it says that I have to show the funds for 6 months from the day of application. How will I show it?
It says that but if you explain it’s a new account and it was opened because of the previous being joint with your mom. The 6 months rule is not mandatory is every situation. My account was 2 days all for my
Statement but I provided proof why and explained the reason for such.

Is there any template for that notary??
I don’t know. If not create your own. These things are not difficult. Just write the letter and let them notorize or do an affidavit just to show that it was mummy who signed and consented to the letter.

If I remove my mom’s name from the account , will that work?

For any fund came from my parents account, will a gift deed work or do I have to provide an affidavit?
Both are the same, just different wording. Legally, they have different implications but in the context of what you're doing, there's none. You can call it what you want as long as it says that the money is from your parents so you could settle down in Canada and that they're not expecting them back, have them mention the account numbers and sign it (you don't have to sign anything).
