This might be a little irrelevant for you guys, but. I opened a joint account with my husband, and we wanted to put that int he app as more relationship proof. For the life of me, I CANNOT seem to find a page that lists either of our names on the account with online banking.. I use Scotiabank. Im just at a loss haha. Has anyone ever included this information from a Scotiabank account before, and if so how did they get a page to list both spouses names?

I don't think our app is gonna fail without this. Just, I'll throw it in if I can haha.

We have did the same thing with RBC, created a joint account with my wife, but I don't think you can see it online. We went to the teller and they did a print out with bank signature regarding our joint account. I think this will be your best bet, get an official paper instead of an online print out. CIC likes this kind of stuff.

Yep you can also get a letter from the bank stating how long you've held the joint account, I recall TD Bank charged a few bucks for this.

We also have a joint account with Scotiabank and they gave us a printout of the account details (including both of our names, when it was opened, etc.) at the local branch free of charge.

Figures TD would charge for something other banks give free.

We use TD and they printed ours out for free. Did we just get lucky? :o

Thx guys! We literally just opened it, but as we're applying married not common-law I think that'll be okay.

The geniuses at Scotiabank decided that when you opt out of receiving paper statements in the mail, they'll stop giving you real bank statements altogether. Every other bank allows you to access the statements online to print out, but with Scotia you can only view a list of transactions with no other info.

Yeah haha. I'll have to just pop into the bank I guess :P

It's a joint savings account, don't have cheques. Didnt want the fees while we cant both even use the account :P Well, while he can't. Not living here and all. I'm gonna say its for saving for a down payment. As honestly that is it's purpose.
