Job Offer Question

Hi everyone,

I have few questions for my brother, he wants to apply under chef/ cook. He is finishing he bachelor degree in hotel management and has 5 years of experience as cook.

I am wondering if he gets a job offer for example for a year, is he obliged to stay for a year on the job or he can come to Canada, go there and apply for a better job as well? I guess I want to know the obligation of the applicant to the employer after coming to Canada.
