Ive worked in a variety of jobs in various foreign countries over the past 7 years and the number one thing I can suggest to you is to be persistant, determined, and willing to do what others are not - late night jobs, physically demanding jobs, dirty jobs etc. Its not about your job title...its about a paycheck.

I would recommend using a few of the top national online bulletin boards, and search by geography:

www.eluta.ca (which doesn't post from recruiters, just companies)
www.workopolis.com (the largest in the Toronto specific market)
