Most likely the jump is because the IRCC cut admission from 500,000 to 380,000 for 2025. If there are PR application exciting 380,000 for this year, than you need wait another year, plus they most likely have PR applications from 2024
 
We submitted our application on Jan 4th as well, I'm really debating on withdrawing it and going for outland with these updated timelines

I don't think you should, I submitted 30th jan and i got an email from ircc today. You never know they might be honouring applications before the election
