Hi, I am a Canadian university student who was a previously a Protected Person in Canada, and recently just got my Permanent Resident card here. As such, I have no valid passport yet. I was considering applying for a Canadian refugee travel document for the purpose of doing a 4 month internship in the US, (I am unable to apply for a passport from my country of origin for now) and was wondering if I would face any struggle with getting a J1 visa for my travel document, or if there was anything other important details I should know.
