Hi,
Can anyone help me with the the following question?
In "Personal activities" section of ITA , I had 4 months self-employed working experience with my current employer (because they switched me to employment after those 4 months). My question is which "Activity Type" I should choose to better describe my situation of that 4 months? Does self-employed = unemployed OR = employment?
They have the following choices:
1. educational activity
2. employment
3. military
4. organization
5. incarcerated
6. unemployed
7. homemaker
8. retired
Please someone help me with this question... thank you very much!

Thanks. If choose employment, actually company didn't pay EI and CPP for me for those 4 months. Does is still qualified for Employment? What documents should I provide CIC to prove this?
Thanks a lot
No need to provide documents for it as it is listed in the personal history section not the work history section.
It is still employment.

Thanks so much. Do I have to show this in the work history section? Becuase I got T4A for those 4 months work and filed my tax in 2015. I wonder CRA has this record. So shall I be honest to show these 4 months in work history as well?
Many many thanks....

It's not about being honest, if you didn't claim points for such employment in the first place you do not have to mention it in the work history section, it wouldn't add any value to your application.

You mean I only need to list employment (with CPP & EI) in work history? If self-employed is also employment, I don't need to declare it in work history?
thanks....

No, i'm saying you only need to list the employment for which you claimed points for to obtain your ITA.
I don't hv any history of the following activities, how to answer the following question:
Have you listed all of XXX's periods of military service or government positions (if any), and all of the organizations that XXX belongs to (if any)?
YES
NO
NOT APPLICABLE
please help me...thanks!

Hi,
I got ITA already. I am only worry that if I put these 4 months in "Personal Activities" section and don't show in work history, does it work? I know self-employed doesn't count points, I just don't want CIC find excuse to judge my file incompleted.
thanks again...

Again, ANY employment for which you did not claim points is irrelevant to your application.
You will not get rejected for mentioning it only in the personal history section.
Sometimes I feel like playing russian roulette with myself :-\

If people in your home country don't have to do military service then choose "not applicable"
If people in your home country have to do it but it is not mandatory OR you haven't done it OR you won't have to do it then choose "no"

Hi,
The website says I must answer "YES" to this question in order to process the questionair. see below:
Validation error: You have not completed the mandatory fields or you have not completed them correctly. Please make corrections where indicated.
Error Description: : You must answer 'Yes' to 'Have you listed all of your periods of military service or government positions?' in order to proceed with your application.
Yea sorry, I completely misread the question.
"Have you listed?" - answer should be "yes"
